BBA Programme Structure

The BBA curriculum targets achievement of the following objectives:

  • Provide students a strong foundation in all the major functional areas of business to face challenges successfully in the corporate world.
  • Prepare students with the requisite knowledge and skills to ensure excellent performance in the entrance examinations for entry into the MBA program in prestigious B-schools
  • Prepare students to clear the various modules of the Company Secretary Program in due course
  • Prepare students to take up positions of management responsibility in family-owned businesses upon completion of the course

The BBA program is spread over three years comprising six semesters. Each semester is of 4.5 months duration and offers 6 courses. Semesters I to IV during the first two years of the program consist of core courses. Semester V commencing in the third year of the program offers 6 courses all specifically designed to prepare students for admission tests to various MBA programs. Semester V & VI will offer courses in specialization areas such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations and International Business.

Specialization is offered in 3rd year of the program. The students need to choose any one of the following specialization areas. Each specialization area consists of four courses. A student can opt for four courses in any specialization area.

Faculty Guided Project

Each student will do a project under the guidance of a faculty member for 8 weeks during the summer vacation between the 4th & 5th Semester. The students need to prepare a project report and submit it to the project faculty guide assigned to each student. The Project Faculty Guide shall evaluate the project as Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory. The students need to complete the Faculty Guided Project satisfactorily to partially fulfill the BBA graduation requirement.
