‘SYNERGY’ The HR Club of KSOM hosted KONFABULATE – Knowledge Dialogue Series (KDS) Seminar

Team Synergy and Team Konfabulate collaborated to organize the KDS program for MBA and BBA students. The event featured a panel discussion on two topics: “Pros and Cons of ChatGPT? Will it assist humans or replace humans?” and “Money is not the major source of motivation in the workplace.” After auditions, 8 students were selected out of 15+ registrations to present on the day of KDS. The first panel shared diverse opinions on the Pros and Cons of ChatGPT, discussing its impact on daily life and more. The second panel talked about how money is not the sole motivator in the workplace, highlighting other factors at play. The event took place in an auditorium with an audience of 90+ and the panel discussion was insightful.

The event was presided over by esteemed judges, Prof. Shikta Singh, SDC Co-Chair; Prof. Isa Mishra, Chairperson, Konfabulate and Prof. Malabika Sahoo, FIC, Synergy. Prof. Saptorshi Das and Prof. Abhishek Kumar were also present. Panel 1 consisted of Alekhya Acharjee, MBA I as the moderator, along with Sohini Ghosh and Ishika Bhattacharjee, MBA II and Rishika Singh, BBA III as participants.  Panel 2 had Rishika Panda, BBA II as the moderator with Ankit Nidhi & Akshita Singh, BBA II and Swagata Mandal, MBA I as participants. The judges and students asked insightful questions, leading to a productive conversation. Prof. Shikta provided feedback on the event and suggestions for improvement. The best panel award was given to Panel 1 and Rishika Singh from BBA III received the best      speaker award.

The purpose of organizing this event was to offer students a valuable opportunity to learn more about a current topic and to inculcate the power of public speaking. The students gained in-depth knowledge  about current affairs and learned how to apply the information in their daily lives.

Synergy and Konfabulate aim on improving with every event, for this feedback was taken from the participants and faculty members about what they liked about the event and how to make events better.
