KISS & KIIT University signed MoU with CIS – A2K, Wikipedia 11th Jan 2014

KISS and KIIT University signed MoU with The Centre for Internet and Society’s Access To Knowledge Programme (CIS-A2K), which represents Wikipedia in India.

The vision is to proactively help 50,000 students in  KIIT University and KISS to better work for their society through the information highway by bringing social innovation using digital technology for KIIT University by:

  • Using the Wikipedia sites by faculty and students on Academic issues (Marketing/ Engineering/ Medicine/Biotechnology, legal, etc.) in groups and individuals
  • Knowledge contribution in regional languages related to diverse disciplines
  • Harness young student minds to enhance their knowledge repositories
  • Sharing knowledge equally and making it easily accessible.

At the event, Dr. A. Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS, Mr. T. Vishnu Vardhan, Programme Director, Access to Knowledge (CIS), Dr. Sasmita Samanta, Registrar, KIIT, Mr. Surjya Mohanty, COO, KISS, Prof. Partho Sarothy Sengupta, Professor – KSOM, Secretary-Management Advisory Board/Member-KIIT University Industry Engagement Cell, Prof. Surya Narayan Mishra, Assistant Professor – KSOM and many other delegates were present.
