Assistant Professor

 Prof. Suchi Smita Swain holds a B.A. (Hons) in Economics from BJB Autonomous College, Utkal University, and earned her M.A. in Analytical and Applied Economics from Utkal University. She was a full-time Ph.D scholar at the National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam, and has extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant at NIT Silchar, teaching managerial economics to undergraduate students. Her research interests include migration and remittances, labor economics, development studies, and rural economics. She possesses strong technical skills in econometric analysis and is proficient in software tools such as STATA, R, and SPSS. She has published papers in reputable SCOPUS and Web of Science-indexed journals and presented at international conferences. Committed to interdisciplinary research and effective teaching, she aims to contribute to rural economic development and inclusive growth through her academic pursuits.
