Prof. Prasun Bhatta Mishra has obtained his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani-Goa and his Masters in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. He has qualified the UGC NET (Economics). Until recently he was a full-time PhD scholar at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), an advanced research institution set up by the Reserve Bank of India and has submitted his dissertation for evaluation. His work experience in Industry comprises stints as a Design Engineer at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and as a Health Economist at BresMed Health Solutions. His work experience in Academia comprises stints as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis School of Economics, Pune and at the KIIT School of Management before proceeding for his doctoral studies. He has also taught as a guest faculty in the Business Analytics Program at SCMHRD, Pune. Prof. Prasun specializes in teaching quantitative courses such as Econometrics, Operations Research and Statistics. His research interests include Applied Econometrics, Health Economics, Household Economics and a bit of Industrial Organization. He has also conducted a faculty development program in Modeling with Excel for the faculty-members of Symbiosis International University and a workshop in Data Analysis with Excel for IDBI officers, Bhubaneswar.
