The flagship MBA program of KSOM for the batch 2022-24 was inaugurated on 5th July at the convention center by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Hon’ble Founder, KIIT & KISS by releasing the program regulation and program curriculum & syllabus. In his address to the students, he gave a brief on the evolution of KIIT from a humble beginning to being an institute and eminence and motivated all students to make the best use of the opportunities available at the University for developing themselves. He also encouraged students to actively participate in the silver jubilee celebrations planned in the months of November and December this year and work towards case studies on KISS

Dr. Gyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT briefed the students on the University infrastructure, such as 25 self-contained campuses, 27 constituent schools, 150 programs, 14 sports facilities, and a central library. He urged the students to make the best use of the facilities.

Dr. Saranjit Singh, Pro VC, KIIT in his address mentioned the importance of technical competencies and the need for MBA students to work towards gaining expertise in relevant technologies alongside the domain. He also briefed about the industry engagements through conclaves and tie-ups and industry driven specialized areas of concentration in the MBA program.

Dr. Sasmita Samanta, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT briefed the students on the achievement of the University in multiple dimensions such as academic excellence, research, sustainable development goals, innovation, and great place to work, reflected in national as well as global rankings. She also sensitized the students on humanity and how students need to adopt a human centric approach to their learning and development.

Dr. Saroj Mahapata, Director, KSOM in his brief highlighted the seventeen sustainable development goals (SDG) and how the teaching-learning, research and extension activities are aligned to the SDGs. He also talked about compassion and the relevance thereof in the learning and development process.
