The welcome address was given by Dr. Sumita Mishra, Deanm KSOM who emphasized on the importance of sustainable development goals and resilient business models for innovation and ideation. Dr. Dilip Ratha a leading economist at the World Bank gave the Keynote Speech. He shared his ideas on Innovative Financing for Development: A 100 billion dollar Financing Idea. He elucidated the role of diaspora bonds, reduction of remittance cost, channelizing finances through philanthropic activities as his approach of financing for development for an economy. Dr. Hrudananda Panda, Regional Director of RBI, Odisha Head was the Guest of Honour at the event. He spoke about financial inclusion and how it is important to have a bank account as it acts as an infrastructure to house future inflow of money. He also cited how technology such as UPI, IMPS, Mobile Banking, etc. plays an important role in the effective spread of financial inclusion, and also illustrated the role of RBI with respect to CBDC.

Convener of the Conference, Prof. Shikta Singh gave the vote of thanks. She had coordinated the entire program. She expressed her gratitude to college dignitaries followed by eminent guests such as Dr. Tapas Mishra, Southampton University UK, Dr. Sudhir Rana, Gulf Medical University,UAE, Dr. Tirthankar Patnaik, Dr. Pravakar Sahoo, Dr. Anshuman Kamila for their valuable presence and insightful sessions.

Two plenary sessions followed the inauguration session. After the plenary session, a research workshop on SLR using NVIVO & Smart PLS was conducted Dr. Ajay Chauhan.

This was followed by a session by Prof. Tapas Mishra, Professor and Head of Banking and Finance at Southampton University, UK on Managing Partner Firms Environmental Risks: Theory & Empirics by

The second day of ICMR 2023 had 23 parallel technical sessions  with 6 virtual workshops, 2 hybrid sessions, and 5 physical sessions happening during the first half.

In further sessions, two distinguished speakers – Dr. Pravakar Sahoo, professor at the Institute of Economic Development in New Delhi, Dr. Anshuman Kamila (Assistant Director, Cabinet Secretariat, GOI spoke on the topics of “Infrastructure Inequality across Indian States: Role of Demographic, Social and Institutional Factors” and “ Fiscal Dominance in India: An Empirical Estimation” respectively

The two days of the well planned conference came to an end with the felicitation of the Track chairs, Moderator and Convenor Prof. Shikta Singh & Co-convenor, Prof. Nikhil Srivastava by Prof. Sumita Mishra, Prof. Ashok Sar, and Prof. R N Subudhi who presented mementos to each session chairs in appreciation of their work and also felicitated the Convenor and Co- Convenor of the Conference.

There was participation from more than 200 delegates present over physical and hybrid mode and with more than 300 students present physically

The inaugural keynote address was delivered by Prof. Mark Sutton from the University of Edinburgh & UK Center of Ecology, UK. Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, KIIT-DU; Dr. S. K. Mahapatra, Director, KSOM; and Dr. S. N. Mishra, Dean also spoke on the occasion. Prof. Rabi Narayan Subudhi, Convener of the International Conference proposed the vote of thanks at the inaugural session. Prof. Sumita Mishra was the co-convener of the event.

Speaking at the valedictory session, Dr. S. N. Mishra recapitulated the comprehensive discussions spanning two days. He emphasized the need for perpetuity in endeavours like the IMC. KIIT School of Management looks forward to hosting IMC 2022 sustaining a tradition of commitment to research and continuous learning, he added.

IMC 2021 with its multifunctional and global focus was of immense interest to faculty members, research scholars, and practitioners from around the world. The conference witnessed incisive discussions from keynote speakers, session chairs and researchers across the globe. Papers were presented across the chief functional disciplines of management spanning three technical sessions in 13 virtual rooms.
