Details :

The students of KSOM had the opportunity to listen to maverick Ad man Prahlad Kakkar. He urged students or rather ‘youth’ to identify the enormous potential they have in them for transforming the country into a world-beater.

Mr. Kakkar talked about the importance of following one’s innermost dreams and instinct with sincerity and dedication. He said we have a structured form of education where we learn 2 & 2 is always 4 but imagine the life when 2 & 2 is 22. The moment we try to continue in the pursuit of 22 we bring value to the table. When we grow with a set of do’s and don’ts and never question anything then we don’t understand the value of ‘22′.

Change is the only thing that is constant, whether we want or not, whether we like it or not – it is inevitable. The only thing is that it can be done in two ways i.e. for better or for worse. Who are the people who excel in job, who are the people who think work is party. It’s when you choose a job for yourself but not the system. There are very few people who choose what they want to do. One should have a personal value system. Your personal value system gives you structure and purpose by helping you determine what is meaningful and important to you. Doing this can only add value said Mr. Kakkar.

He gave his views on how young people can become entrepreneurs by breaking the twilight zone & go ahead to realize their dream. The business of business is ‘risk’, the time for playing safe is gone, now is the time to take risks, businesses are all risk taking and if you don’t have the guts to take risks, then get out of the business.

One has to be focused on following once dream, passion, hobbies which Mr. Kakkar has done by venturing into advertisements, scuba diving, cigar and restaurant business. Overall, his brand of humour and his take on a wide variety of things made the session a major hit among all present.

Mr. Kakkars’ interactive session, where he talked about his journey and emphasized on overcoming the barriers to entrepreneurship, will go a long way in promoting entrepreneurship amongst the students present.
