October 16, 2015FirstKut, the media and literary club of KSOM published the year’s second issue of the Campus Magazine, Pravah. The editorial team of Pravah burnt a good amount of midnight oil, under the guidance of Prof. Ashutosh Kar, the club chairperson and Prof. Joydeep Biswas, to bring out an interesting mix of content. The enthusiastic editorial team of Pravah includes Suchismita Routray, Sromona Banerjee, Anurag Mishra, Rahul Senapati, Pooja Bhayani, and Sparsh Saxena with Sromona being the editor.
The magazine received a large number of entries from students containing their views and opinions, snippets from their lives, cherished moments, their achievements. The magazine has a number of sections such as Newsmaker, Happens Only in KSOM, My Take, In Focus, Sight and Light, and a lot more.
The Newsmaker for this issue was Richie Richa Das of MBA-II who has started her entrepreneurial venture with The Chulhaa, a multi-cuisine restaurant in Bhubaneswar. Students who had gone for the Exchange Program to Turkey shared their exciting experiences during their stay in Turkey. Resham Patnaik shared his experience of the nail-biting and night long wait for the announcement of TCS results on Day Zero. Anupras Panda wrote about their student trip to Mumbai which left them with beautiful lingering memories.
The issue also contained poems in the Rhymester’s Zone and beautiful photographs and in the Sight and Light Section among many others.
The magazine is a platform for students to bring out their hidden talent. The magazine promises much more that is to come in the future.
