The Festive of Light Celebrated by KSOM Students

They  all are at home away from home to spend some really important years of their lives, so why should they skip the important festive celebrations of the year. This year Sanskriti, the Cultural Club of School of Management, KIIT University, organized Diwali Celebration for the students.

The day began with a Rangoli competition in which the students took at most pleasure in decorating the campus floors with beautiful piece of art. As the chalk drawn designs manifested into colors of green, red and blue, the creativity of future mangers took shape of Lord Ganesh to abstract designs over the floors.  No wonder it had been a hard time for the judges to decide the winners of Rangoli competition. The students also took part in Pot painting competition and the plain clay pot was turned into celebrating warli art of traditional Diwali designs. Later, the campus was lit with diyas which made a mesmerizing view.  Not only were the buildings decorated with candles but the sky as well. Many sky lanterns were lit and released making the entire skyline twinkle.  As the evening proceeded, a ramp walk organized and students competed for Mr. and Miss. Diwali.

The evening ended with the distribution of goodies to the winners and bursting of crackers.  The echo of joy did make them realize that Diwali does signify the victory of good over evil. To keep up with the motto of “Swachh Bharat” the students took the initiative of cleaning the campus after the show was over thus always keeping campus clean and admirable.
