The Marketing Club has recently organized an exciting event to explore the competencies and negotiating skills of tomorrow’s budding managers on 2nd April 2014.
The event consisted of 19 teams competing against each other in three rounds of competition. The first round named-‘Jingle All the Way’ where the teams had created jingles of the products they had chosen from a box. They were also provided with materials to create a name for their shop. In the second round, the students were assigned the task to collect maximum amount of items within a stipulated amount of money. In the last competition round, the teams had to sell those items to the panel members. The criterion for winning was to have the maximum amount of money collected.
There was a tie between the two finalists who had collected the same amount of money, so a tie-breaker question decided the fate, and the team Shazia, Prushmi and Diipesh, from MBA first year was declared as the winner of the event with a cash prize of Rs. 1500.
The presence of Prof. Anil Bajpai, Director, KSOM and Prof. A.K.Sar, Dean,KSOM along with faculties like Prof. Arvind Tripathy, Prof.Partho Sengupta, Prof. Subrat Sarangi, Prof.S.Natarajan, Prof.Surya Mishra, Prof. Ashutosh Kar, Prof. Saroj Routray, Prof.Biswajit Das and Prof Abhishek Kumar encouraged the teams to have the fun and excitement in the event.
