KSOM Organized Pre-Budget Discussion with Student Panelists in association with Exchequer – the Finance Club of KSOM on 31st Jan’ 2022

Before the finance minister, Dr. Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2022 on 1st Februaryour KSOM students came up with their pre-suppositions in a very well-structured Panel discussion held over virtual mode. The prediction and expectation for this year’s Budget were highlighted by some brilliant minds who shared their insights by unravelling and revealing the bigger picture of the upcoming Budget for the financial year 2022-2023.

 KIIT School of Management organized the Pre- Budget session on the Theme: A virtual curtain-raiser to Union Budget 2022 (Predictions and Expectations). Where the students analyzed and interpreted their thoughts for different sectors.

The students had their share of discussion and expectations concerning one goal: boosting our GDP growth across all four major sectors of the Indian economy, under the able guidance of Prof. Shikta Singh, Associate Professor, KSOM, KIIT DU. The student Panelists of KSOM came up with a fantastic form of discussion on the provision, progress, and expectations from Budget on January 31, 2022.

The major thrust of discussion laid focus on- Finance, Healthcare and education, Agriculture and rural development, and Infrastructure who were represented by four student panels.

Prof. Saroj Mahapatra, Director, KSOM addressed and congratulated the students for their active participation and also mentioned about how the student experts are no less than the so called experts. He was overwhelmed with the entire way and approach of the young minds.

Prof. S.N Mishra, Dean, KSOM set the context and stressed upon the relevance of such discussions.

The discussion was a great success with deep data-driven analysis and was greatly managed by our students.

Thee vote of thanks was given by Mr. Sayantan Sett, coordinator of Finance Club. He effectively summarized the entire event and thanked everyone for their contribution and participation.
