The BBA students of KIIT School of Management (KSOM) successfully organized the “KERNEL: New Product Development Exhibition” at Kunjaban, KSOM, on November 13, 2024.

The event was graced by Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Hon’ble Founder of KIIT and KISS, who interacted with students, reviewed their innovative ideas, and commended their creativity and effort.

Prof. Debashis Bandyopadhyay, Pro VC, KIIT DU, inaugurated the event alongside Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT DU, and Prof. Suva Kanta Mohanty, Director, KSOM. Prof. Suvasis Ghosh, Dean of the BBA Programme, Prof. Biswajeet Pattnaik, SDC Chairperson, and several esteemed faculty members.

This exhibition marked the culmination of the New Product Development course, where students presented their innovative ideas through detailed poster presentations, showcasing their understanding of the product development process.

Forty-plus teams presented their new product development project. Budding Marketing Managers showcased their talent through this one-of-a-kind exhibition. Some are so excited to showcase their brand and take it forward that they have purchased a website domain!

Over 40 teams participated, presenting creative new product concepts that demonstrated their skills as budding marketing managers. Some students, inspired by their projects, have even taken steps toward implementation by acquiring website domains for their proposed brands.

The exhibition provided a platform for hands-on learning, bridging the gap between academic concepts and real-world applications. It also highlighted KSOM’s commitment to fostering practical skills and entrepreneurial thinking among its students.

Dr. Priti Ranjan Sahoo, Area Chair of Marketing, and Dr. Kharabela Rout, Course Instructor, coordinated the event to ensure its smooth execution and success.
