Prof. Bijay Kumar Kandel (FBCS) from KIIT School of Management presented the paper on “Corporate Social Responsibility through Empowerment: The Case of Institution in India” on 25^th November 2014 at the 5^th International Accounting Conference, Universitas Indonesia, Depok, Indonesia. Prof. Kandel has been conferred with a very distinctive award of being the Most Disciplined Presenter in the conference.

The article presents critical insights into CSR practices in Educational Institutions with reference to KIIT Group of Institutions as a case study. The research paper demonstrates the two major CSR initiatives namely Tribal Empowerment and Education of Tribal students from KG to PG which has been taken up by KIIT Group of Institutions. The paper has been highly appreciated by the Chairperson himself.
