KSOM BBA 3rd year students recently organized a campaign named “Share Your Food”.
After noticing that some of the extra food in the mess is being wasted on daily basis, the student volunteers decided to donate the food to the poverty stricken and needy, residing in slums nearby the college campus. Separate containers were arranged in the mess for the donation of food. The students fed more than 50 families who don’t get even a day’s meal.
The students had also organized a social event named ‘Khushi’, in the past where they distributed free notebooks, pencils and other stationery to the slum children residing near KISS campus (Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, Bhubaneswar). The objective behind the unique event was to relish the joy of giving and bringing smiles on the faces of children.
KSOM student-body understands and acts on several such the social issues in and around the region.
