School of Management, KIIT University’s faculty had taken up an assignment to prepare the business plan for a major private sector client operating in the power distribution sector in India. The scope of work included doing sales forecasting, Capex and system improvement plan, efficiency improvement plan in terms of distribution loss reduction and collection efficiency improvement, estimation of revenue and operating expenses. The focus of the business plan was on financial restructuring and developing a turn-around strategy so that the business could become profitable by the end of their business plan period.
