
KIIT School of Management Conducts Post-Budget Discussion with Financial Experts

KIIT School of Management (KSOM) successfully hosted the UWB–KSOM India Trek Programme from 22nd to 26th March 2026, in collaboration with the University of Washington Bothell, USA.
April 9, 2026KANVAS 2026, the flagship BBA project exhibition event of KIIT School of Management, was successfully organized on 24th March 2026. The event served as a vibrant platform to showcase the creativity, ideas, academic efforts, models, posters, and collaborative work of our BBA I, BBA II, and BBA III students. It was conceived as a celebration of student talent, teamwork, innovation, and experiential learning.
Inauguration of KANVAS 2026
The event was formally inaugurated by Hon’ble Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta. The inaugural function was graced by the presence of several eminent dignitaries. These included Padma Shri Aditya Gadanayak, National Award Winner; Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor; Prof. K. D. Raju, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar; Prof. Kumar Mohanty, Director, KSOM; Prof. Arvind Tripathy, Dean, PG Programme, KSOM and Prof. Priti Ranjan Sahoo, Dean, UG Programme, KSOM.
The event also welcomed invited corporate guests, industry leaders, parents, alumni, and other distinguished visitors.
Student Participation and Project Exhibition
A major highlight of the event was the participation of more than 900 students. In total, 114 student groups presented their innovative ideas through posters and models.
The exhibition reflected the students’ creativity and conceptual understanding. It also demonstrated their ability to apply classroom learning in an engaging and practical format. As a result, KANVAS became a vibrant platform for showcasing curricular learning integrated with co-curricular and extracurricular dimensions.
Release of the ISBN Book
Another significant feature of the inaugural session was the release of the ISBN book ISBN: 978-93-343-5478-2, titled New Product Development: 40 Innovative Ideas from KSOM.
The book was edited by Dr. Priti Ranjan Sahoo and Dr. Kharabela Rout. Furthermore, the book release added academic value and prestige to the event. It also highlighted the institution’s commitment to promoting student ideas and innovation.
Participation from Schools and the Community
In addition to university functionaries, faculty members, parents, alumni, and students, several invited students and faculty members from different schools also visited the exhibition.
These included Kalinga English Medium School, Kalarabanka; KIIT International School; ODM Public School; and several other schools. They interacted with the participating students during the exhibition. Their presence further enhanced the programme’s outreach and visibility.
Food, Games, and Student Performances
The event atmosphere was further enriched by food stalls, fun-and-game stalls, and student-led performances. These included a live band presentation, which brought warmth, energy, and festivity to the occasion.
Moreover, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, university dignitaries, alumni, parents, invited guests, and school students. Their participation made KANVAS 2026 a truly memorable and impactful occasion.
A Proud Achievement for the UG Programme
The event was widely appreciated by all attendees. Overall, KANVAS 2026 stands as a proud achievement for the UG Programme of KIIT School of Management.
