Dr. Girish Chandra Dey joined the KIIT School of Management as an Assistant Professor in the area of Operations Management in July 2025. He holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. He has earned his M. Tech. in Industrial Engineering & Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India and B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering & Technology from Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Dey has gained more than 6.5 years of teaching and research experience. Before joining KSOM, he worked as an Assistant Professor at GITAM School of Business, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, and as a lecturer at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, R K Valley, Andhra Pradesh. He also worked as a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, India. His current research interests include Critical Infrastructure Protection Planning, Supply Chain Design for Disruptions, and Sustainable Supply Chain Management.
