7th National Business Analytics Konclave
The Agentic Enterprise: From Insights to Autonomous Action
October 10, 2026
Introduction

Welcome to the 7th National Business Analytics Conclave where classroom theory meets boardroom reality. For last six years, KIIT School of Management has brought together industry leaders, academicians, and India's brightest management talent to explore how data and analytics reshape the way businesses think, decide, and grow. From demystifying analytics to harnessing Generative AI, each edition of this Conclave has stayed a step ahead of the curve. As artificial intelligence moves from generating insights to taking autonomous action, the 7th Bsuiness Analytics Conclave, themed ‘The Agentic Enterprise: From Insights to Autonomous Action,’ brings together voices from across industry and academia to explore what this shift means for the future of work, decision-making, and management education itself. We invite you to be part of this conversation.
Increasingly, organizations are exploring whether intelligent AI systems can reason over business information, formulate plans, coordinate tasks, interact with enterprise systems and execute actions, while humans retain appropriate oversight and accountability. This transition has significant implications for the way organizations are designed and managed. AI agents could increasingly support functions such as customer management, marketing, finance, supply chain, operations, human resources and strategic planning. For business leaders, however, the challenge is not merely technological adoption. It involves deciding where autonomy creates value, where human judgment remains essential, how accountability should be established, and how organizations can combine analytical intelligence with managerial judgment.
For management students, this evolution is particularly relevant. Tomorrow's analytics professionals are unlikely to work only as analysts producing reports and dashboards. They may increasingly work as AI-enabled business analysts, decision scientists, product managers, analytics consultants, AI strategists and transformation leaders, designing and managing systems in which humans and intelligent agents work together.
The 7th Conclave therefore aims to examine not only what agentic AI can do, but also how businesses should use it, where human judgment fits, and what capabilities future managers need to lead in an agentic enterprise.
This year's theme, "Beyond Insights: Driving Business Value through Prescriptive and Cognitive Analytics," marks a leap into the next frontier of analytics evolution.
Today's businesses focus on prescriptive analytics (recommends optimal actions) and cognitive analytics (mimics human thought processes).
The 6th Business Analytics Conclave will follow a thoughtfully designed agenda to maximize learning, interaction, and career exposure.
Business Analytics Conclaves over the years:
Panel Discussion:
Topic: Humans, Agents, and the Future of Business Judgment
As AI systems become increasingly capable of reasoning, recommending and executing business tasks, an important managerial question emerges: What happens to human judgment when machines can increasingly participate in business decisions?
The panel will explore the evolving relationship between human expertise, analytics and AI agents. While algorithms and intelligent agents can process vast amounts of information, identify patterns and execute predefined or dynamically generated actions, business decisions often involve ambiguity, context, values, organizational priorities and consequences that may not be fully captured in data. The discussion will examine how managers should determine which decisions can be delegated to AI, which require human oversight, and where human judgment should remain at the centre of the decision process. It will also consider questions of accountability, trust, responsible AI adoption and the changing role of managers in organizations where humans increasingly work alongside intelligent agents.
For management students, the panel provides an opportunity to think beyond technical AI capabilities and consider the managerial capabilities that will remain valuable in an AI-enabled workplace: critical thinking, business judgment, problem framing, ethical reasoning, communication and the ability to work effectively with intelligent systems.
The panel thus complements the overall theme by moving the conversation from “Can AI act?” to “How should humans and AI decide and act together?”
Parallel Industry-Led Workshops
The workshop sessions will translate the broader conclave theme into function-specific business applications. Distinguished industry professionals will conduct interactive sessions with MBA students, demonstrating how analytics, AI and decision technologies are being applied to real business problems.
The workshops are designed to connect classroom learning with industry practice while helping students understand the skills, roles and career opportunities emerging at the intersection of business and analytics.
