Admission Process and Fees

Eligibility

KSOM is looking for candidates with a consistently good academic record, professional accomplishments and a strong urge to contribute to knowledge creation and dissemination in the field of management. The admission for the Ph.D. Programme will be in accordance with the rules and clauses of the Ph.D. regulations of the University. The eligibility  criteria for applying into the programme :

M.Tech./ME /MCA /MBA/ or an equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Or M.Sc./MA/M.Com./LLM or an equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)

Or

B.Tech./ BE or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). A valid GATE score is essential for students having B.Tech./ BE degree.

Candidates in their final year degree and expecting post-graduation results within June, 2015 can also apply for the Ph.D. Programme. Such applicants are required to submit along with their application form, a certificate from the Principal or Head of the Institution to the effect that the candidate is expected to complete all requirements for completion and award of the degree with in June, 2015.

All the working executives will also have to furnish a “NO Objection Certificate” from the Employer in addition to all other academic documents.

Selection Process

Selection to the doctoral programme will be based on the performance in the written test, career marks and performance in personal interview.

Application Process:

  • Option 1. Candidates need to take the written test conducted by KIIT University, i.e.KIITEE. For application procedure details , please visit KIITEE website ( www.kiitee.ac.in )
  • Route 2. Candidates with valid UGC-NET score need not  appear for KIITEE . Such candidates can directly apply to KSOM with their UGC-NET Score

 

Career Marks:

All candidates are expected to have good academic performance in their career. Due weightage will be given in the final selection.

Personal Interview:

All short listed candidates (based on score in the written test and career marks) will be called for a personal interview before a panel of faculty members. The candidates are expected to come prepared with a researchable management issue and associated insights.

Fee Structure

In case of Self-Sponsored Part Time Ph.D., if a scholar is unable to complete the program within three years, the fee prescribed for the regular scholars as applicable to the year of work will be payable by the scholar.*The semester fees are payable at the time of registration for a particular semester.

Fellowship for full time scholars

Limited number of fellowships is available for scholars with outstanding academic record and performance in the selection process. The students shall be provided with financial assistance of Rs 7,000 per month for first two years and Rs 8,000 for next two years as scholarship, for a maximum period of four years. In addition, a contingency grant shall also be given to the regular students to support their field work, purchase of books, etc. The grant of financial assistance will be subject to satisfactory progress in the programme.
