KSOM’s ‘Pyaar Bhara Pack’ On International Day of Art of Giving (AOG)
May 22, 2018

It has been an amazing three years of journey at KSOM. Coming here was something I had never expected. Opting BBA as my career option was not an easy task with so many opinions about an engineering degree being better with an MBA. However I decided to join the BBA program at KSOM and at the end of it, I can say that it was a wise decision. I had never thought that this place will provide me so much opportunities, such great faculties and awesome infrastructure. The workshops, the guest lectures, the fests, the conclaves and the seminars have been an important part of my college life and I gained a lot of experience and knowledge about the corporate world. It also helped me inculcate a sense of discipline in life and camaraderie amongst fellow students from various walks of life like any professional course should do. Presence of students from more than 10 countries in the BBA course helped me to understand new culture, language and traditions.

One of the most memorable event in KSOM was KURIOCITY – the first ever Business Research Fair of Odisha, It is an innovative platform for conducting research and analyzing behaviour of individuals (consumers, influencers and others) and how those impact business processes.  Research problems provided by corporates were gamified to obtain participant’s responses. Encompassing all management parameters, Kuriocity had several Marketing Research Games, Personality Tests and Financial Simulations. The inaugural fair had over 40 stalls where research data was collected in the form of challenging games. Several corporates across industry verticals participated in the Business Research Fair. Notable market players like Big Bazaar, MayFair Chain of Hotels,, Vodafone along with several startups were part of the fair. The event also had popular retailers like Habib, Unisex, Dugout, Hub etc. as gifting partners. The type of response we had was amazing and we gained a lot of knowledge as how to deal with certain situations, communicate with people and deal with such a huge crowd.

It was a pleasure to be part of such a good program.
