KSOM kickstarts Konfidant – A Unique Corporate Mentoring Program (Aug, 2016)

In a first-of-its-kind initiative KSOM flagged off its corporate mentoring programme, Konfidant 2016, with a 2 day workshop involving as many as over 20 corporate bigwigs in a one-on-one interaction with KSOM students. These corporate mentors will assume the role of a mentor to their respective mentees guiding them in their careers and making them better corporate citizens.

The 2 day workshop, which is the starting point of this programme, was exhaustive, comprising of multiple rounds of group discussions and personal interviews, along with continuous feedback by corporate mentors. The illustrious list of the mentors who were a part of this workshop were Mr. Sanjay Muthal from RGF, Mr. Rajesh Tripathi from GHCL, Mr. Aniruddha Khekale from Emerson, Mr. Rajendra Mehta from Zee Group, Mr. Sumantra Mitra from Neekamal, Ms. Yamini Sinha from Harley Davidson, Mr. Khaleel Rahman from People Interactive, Mr. Shouvonik Basu from Ericsson, Mr. Debarghya Deb from Dabur, Mr. Akshay Deshpande from Tech Process, Mr. Sushil Chander from FreeLance, Mr. Mukul Chopra from Aircel, Mr. Romit Mufti from ILFS, Mr. Jayaram Raman from M&M, Mr. Govind Sharma from Sony Entertainment, Mr. Ajit Singh from NetMagic, Mr. Satish Mohapatra from Siemens, Mr. Harsha Thota from DSP Black Rock, Mr. Rajiv Katiar from Adani Group, Mr. Hemant Sethia from Credit Suisse, Mr. Ankit Wanchoo from RGF, Ms. Kinkini Das from TMIL, Mr. Subhashis Das from Berger, Mr. Ashis Gakrey from Capgemini, Mr. Debashreeta Mishra from Reliance, and Ms. Delna Elavia from Estee Laudor.

The workshop by guided by Mr. Sanjay Muthal, Executive Director,RGF, who explained the modus operandi to the corporate mentors, the faculty mentors, and the students.  Each of the mentors expressed their delight at this unique initiative taken by KSOM as a step to produce more able and efficient corporate citizens. Mr. Govind Sharma of Sony Entertainment was so impressed with the programme that he wrote a blog on it in his  blogspot. This being just the start to a life-long relationship between the mentors and their mentees, students feel empowered with the potential thrust that this programme has created.
